When your band chooses to go out playing some street music (busking, as we call it in England), you may have difficulty finding the perfect spot in the town centre. You should not be in a place where you will attract complaints from local businesses or shops. And you should not be too close to other buskers.

Sometimes you may end up squeezed on a pavement (sidewalk) right next to the motor traffic. Playing in such a spot is hard work. Here's a recent video of a jazz band in an English country town. You may care to count how many vehicles pass by during the four minutes or so while the band plays the tune. CLICK HERE TO WATCH. I make it 53 vehicles. Is this a record?
