Post 207: 'VODO DO DE O BLUES'

VoDo Do De O Blues was composed in 1927 by Milton Ager (music) and Jack Yellen (words). They had a great pedigree: they gave us many other favourites, such as Ain't She Sweet, Glad Rag Doll, Happy Days Are Here Again, and Hard-Hearted Hannah.

There are some good examples of this song on YouTube. It's a Charleston-era tune and should be played at Charleston tempo. It's essentially a 32-bar a  -  a  -  b  -  a  structure. For the purpose of messing about with it on my keyboard and cornet, I put it (as it sounds to me) in Bb and then in C.
